There are a number of ministries in our church catered for different age groups.

Kids Ministry:

Creche is available every Sunday morning during the 9:30am church service for  children beneath the age of 4. Come on down before the service begins or after the “Children’s Talk” has taken place. Parents are more than welcome. Bring a light snack and drink for morning tea with you.

Sunday School runs every Sunday morning during school terms, and caters for children attending 4 year old kinder through to and including grade 5. The children are divided into two groups (Kinder/Prep ; Grade 1 – 5); to ensure that they are taught at the appropriate level. Children start each church service sitting with their family in church, and during the service there is a “Children’s Talk”, after which they move to Sunday School with their teachers, and do a craft activity, which reinforces the story in Children’s Talk, based on their skill level.

Cadets is a group where boys get together on a weekly basis to enjoy games, fellowship, bible study and and earn badges for all there hard work and learning. Other activities are organised throughout the year such as camps, fundraising events and day trips. Cadets caters for boys from Grade 4 through to grade 8.

Gems is a weekly program for girls from Grade 4 through to Year 7 that encourages Girls Everywhere to Meet their Saviour. The program provides relevant and fun opportunities for the girls to develop, explore and grow in their relationship with Jesus. The Program Leaders all have current Police or Working with Children Checks.

Youth Ministry – MERCY and YA:

MERCY stands for Mount Evelyn Reformed Church Youth, and YA stands for Young Adults. It’s a fun and vibrant ministry encompassing worship, Lifegroups, and youth services. Teens in Year 8 to Year 12 are invited to join our Youth ministry, while school-leavers and twenty-somethings can come along to our Young Adult events. We are a close-knit and welcoming community and we would love to see you join us!

Switch is our youth service. It is held at 6:00pm on the third Sunday evening of each month. This service is run by a team of young people with great worship led by the MERCY Band, inspiring teaching by a range of speakers, opportunity for prayer with our Prayer Team and yummy supper after the service. We invite you to come along and see what it is like!

SURGE is our youth group for high school students which meets every fortnight, alternating between food nights and games nights, both kicked off with relevant teaching. Please contact the church office to learn what events are on and how you can be involved.
MERCY’s four-week cycle in school terms:
Week 1: YA Sunday Social (Sundays) and SURGE (Fridays)
Week 2: Lifegroups (various nights)
Week 3: YA Potluck & Teaching Night (Wednesdays) and SURGE (Fridays)
Week 4: Life groups (various nights)

Adult Ministry:

Coffee and fellowship are enjoyed each week in the main hall at 11:00am, right after the morning church service. A light morning tea is also provided.

Women’s Ministry meets on Tuesday mornings at 9.15 am – 11.30 am (not in school holidays). Child minding is available. We have two different bible studies; KYB (Know your bible) which is a detailed study of different books of the bible, and another small group that focuses on different challenging topics and prayer to further you in your Christian journey. These groups run fortnightly with a special activity held on the alternate weeks. This could be a craft, Zumba lesson, cooking demonstration or an information. There is also an evening Ladies Bible Study group that meets on Monday evenings at 7:30pm. Women of any age are welcome to join.

Men’s Ministry focuses on encouraging men of all ages in their Christian walk, including events such as camps, breakfasts, Lifegroups and social gatherings. Contact Rob Dubbeld for more information.
